Amanda Montell is a writer, linguist, former beauty editor, and author of two books: Wordslut: A Feminist Guide to Taking Back the English Language (Harper Wave, 2019), which she is currently developing for television with FX, and Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism (forthcoming June 15, 2021). Amanda’s other writing has appeared in Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Nylon, and The Rumpus, among others, and she currently resides in Los Angeles.
